Crocodile In Zoo Bites Off Veterinarian's Arm!

In this older 2007 news story a zookeeper in Taiwan lost his left forearm to a Nile Crocodile. An extreme example of one of those lessons learned the hard way. Veterinarian Chang Po-Yu had shot a tranquilizing dart into the 440 pound beast. Reaching through the bars of the cage he did not realize that the croc was not totally anesthetized and in an instant the animal had bitten off the doctor's arm.

In the image above the arm looks almost fake. It is real. Amazing that it looks totally relaxed, a loose fist clenched as it rests between those horrible teeth.
As Dr. Po-Yu drifted in and out of consciousness on his way to the hospital, workers at the Shaoshan zoo in the southern city of Kaohsiung, Taiwan shot the crocodile twice. Either the crocodile is tougher than we think or their weapons are not much to speak of, but the bullets simply bounced off the hide, failing to penetrate. They did stun the animal who then dropped the limb enabling them to retrieve it. That's probably the best all around outcome as the crocodile was simply behaving as crocodiles do, as every zookeeper would know. 
Amazingly after seven hours of surgery medical doctors were able to attach the vet's arm and he recuperated. I wonder if Dr. Po-Yo can now be found in the kiddie zoo inoculating goats and rabbits?

BMW Goes ‘Chinese’ With Brilliance

The guys from Bavaria has announced that they are going reveal their new model on Shanghai Motor Show soon, that is customized with ‘China only’ features. Brilliance from China is helping them regard to the launch of new breed.

BMW Brilliance New Energy Vehicle
The new one will be modified and accustomed for China from the 5 series. It will have 2.0 liter twin powered turbo charge. The car is tested to get its highest limit of 215 horse powers. The brand is naming it as ‘BMW Brilliance New Energy Vehicle’.

BMW M3 LightWeight

The Bavarian Motor Works has recently arranged a small scale and journalist only showcase for their new M3 lightweight. The new M3 lightweight is a sporty saloon of small size.

Scheduled for the Nurburging race of 24 hours, the M3 lightweight, is a custom version of the M3 GTS from the brand. There will be a small series of production after the race. And the item will remain as short lived exclusive for enthusiasts. BMW has no plan for mass production of the unit.

New BMW M5 Gets Leaked

The M5 series concept car for 2012 from BMW got publicly leaked with lot more photos and images. This happened to be done by a journalist who was actually invited into the private circle of the brand at Munich.

As an internal exposition, which off course is also a part of their business expansion plan, BMW were displaying new concept cars like M5 in their secret event. The M5 was scheduled for public display on this Shanghai Auto Show, starting from April 19TH 2011.

The guys from Bavarian Motor Works, have recently unveiled their pick up. Lot more wondering, undoubtedly, this pick up is the modified form from the M3 series. Officially coded as the fourth generation body variant, the M3 pick up from BMW, is tested on track to perform great by consumers.
